Once the source code for Android 5.0 Lollipop was released HTC had promised to get the update out for One M8 and M7 within 90 days. The company missed its own deadline, and it was sorry for that, but we can see that its working hard to get the update out as soon as possible. A company executive has revealed over Twitter that the OS Technical Approval has been received which means that the T-Mobile HTC One M8 Android 5.0 Lollipop update is coming tomorrow.

HTC has actually been much faster than most OEMs in getting Android 5.0 Lollipop out for its devices. Google Play Edition units of One M7 and M8 already received the update, and so has the unlocked developer edition.

Sprint HTC One M7 and HTC One M8 have also received the Android 5.0 Lollipop update apart from M8 owners in Europe who got the much awaited update back in January.

Magenta customers who were wondering when their carrier will release this update for HTC’s flagship need not wonder any more. HTC product manager Mo Versi has said that T-Mobile HTC One M8 owners should get ready for the Lollipop update as it has already received technical approval so over-the-air roll out will start by tomorrow, Monday.

No word as yet when Lollipop will be available for T-Mobile HTC One M7, or both devices on Verizon and AT&T.
