xbox-one-screenshot-feature

Xbox One owners have long requested Microsoft to give their console the ability to capture screenshots. Its easy enough to capture video and Xbox One owners can’t take screenshots easily like their counterparts on PlayStation 4 can. Not to worry though because it looks like the Xbox One screenshot feature is coming in the near future.

The boss of Microsoft’s Xbox division Phil Spencer tweeted an image of the screenshot feature available on his Xbox One dev kit. “Nice to finally be doing this on my Xbox One dev kit,” he writes, attaching an image of the feature in action.

A closer look at the attached image shows that by pressing Y Xbox One users will be able to capture a screenshot. By pressing X they’ll be able to record their gameplay like before.

Xbox One has always had the ability to record gameplay footage, its the screenshot feature that users have been waiting for a long time.

Its easy enough to take a screenshot on a PlayStation 4. Just press and hold the Share button on DualShock 4 for a couple of seconds and a notification sweeps in from the top left corner to notify you that the screenshot has been taken.

While Spencer’s tweet confirms that the feature is coming to Xbox, Spencer hasn’t provided a release date yet, but if its deemed good enough to be shown off to the world, my guess it that this feature won’t be too far off now.
