By now we’re sure most of you guys have learnt that the Sony Xperia Z4 was not announced at MWC 2015. That being said the handset does exist and according to Sony, it will be announced later in the year and possibly before September 2015. Unfortunately it is pretty much anybody’s guess as to what the phone looks like unless recently leaked images are anything to go by.
Speaking of leaked images, a new rendering has surfaced which shows off the design of a Sony smartphone. The design itself is pretty standard with nothing to shout about. In fact the render appears to be missing any kind of branding but based on what we can see, it certainly reminds us of Sony’s Xperia handsets but it seems to be missing the sleep/wake button at the side.
However what caught our attention is that tiny button/sensor at the bottom of the phone. It’s a bit small to be a home button and the surface area is also a bit small to be used for fingerprint scanning, so perhaps it could simply be a notification light. Apart from that it’s hard to tell if this rendering could be the real deal or if it could be fake designed to throw us off or a concept rendering by a fan.
In any case it’s best taken with a grain of salt for now, but we’ll be on the lookout for additional information regarding the Sony Xperia Z4.
