Recently a video from SquareTrade showed the company testing the durability of handsets such as the iPhone 6 Plus, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, and the HTC One M9, and maybe HTC wasn’t too pleased with having its devices unnecessarily bent because the company has released a new ad that shows them smashing the competition out of the park.

In this new video released by HTC, we see baseball player Robinson Cano decked out in HTC branded gear. He then takes a baseball bat, gets himself ready, before someone behind the scenes begins lobbing phones from the competition towards him in which he then smashes with gusto using his baseball bat.

The video was filmed in slow-motion so if you’re the type that loves watching senseless gadget destruction and see pieces of electronics fly, then this is definitely a video worth watching. It seems that LG was caught in HTC’s crosshairs as a phone that looks like the LG G3 was seen spotted in the video getting smashed to smithereens.

Interestingly enough it seems that Microsoft’s Lumia lineup did not make it into the mix, which we can only assume either means that HTC doesn’t think the Lumia phones are worth smashing, or maybe HTC has just too much respect for Microsoft to feature them in this video. In any case if you have a few minutes to spare, then do check the video above to see some phones getting smashed, or as HTC put it, #canocrushed.
