galaxy-note-4-review-12

Galaxy Note 4 owners have been receiving the Lollipop update steadily as their carriers roll it out based on their roadmaps but T-Mobile users have been waiting anxiously for the update to arrive. Magenta has so far not provided a release date for Lollipop as far as its Galaxy Note 4 owners are concerned. However the carrier’s update tracker is a great tool to keep track of an update’s progress. The tracker has been updated to reflect that the T-Mobile Galaxy Note 4 Lollipop update has now entered the crucial testing stage.

It’s not like T-Mobile hasn’t shown some Lollipop love to the Galaxy Note series. The carrier has already released Lollipop for the Galaxy Note 3 even though it would make more sense to cover the most recent model first.

Until today the Galaxy Note 4’s status on the update tracker was “manufacturer development,” which is basically an assurance that an update will come to the device in due time.

Now that the status has been changed to “T-Mobile Testing,” that means Magenta is going to run its tests on the new software to ensure that it works absolutely fine. Once the carrier is sure that the update has no underlying issues that could cause problems for its customers, T-Mobile will roll it out.

Even though things are clearly moving along it’s still too soon to say when T-Mobile might release the Lollipop update for Galaxy Note 4. We’ll let you know when the update arrives.
