samsung z1_1

Samsung is making use of its Tizen operating system in a wide variety of devices. It will initially thought that Samsung would aggressively push this OS in smartphones but so far the company has only released one Tizen powered handset and that too in just a couple of markets in Asia. According to a new report the next Tizen smartphone from the company, possibly called Samsung Z3, could be launched later this year.

Over the last few months it has been rumored that the Samsung Z2 is in development but there hasn’t been much concrete evidence to support that theory. The latest reports suggest that Samsung is going to skip that handset and go straight to the Z3.

Samsung Z3 is reportedly going to have modest specifications like a quadcore 64-bit processor, 5 inch display, 5 megapixel rear and 2 megapixel front camera as well as a 2,000mAh battery. It may come pre-installed with the latest version of Tizen in the second half of this year.

Not much is known about the Samsung Z3 at this point in time, and whether or not the company is going to release it in more markets this time around. There have been rumors that the next Tizen smartphone might see a global launch but Samsung has not confirmed or denied that yet.
