ipadmini4-leakApple might have bade goodbye to their first generation iPad mini not too long ago, but this does not mean that Cupertino has forgotten all about this particular range of hardware. In fact, it is starting to look as though Apple will be delivering a successor to the iPad mini 3 – which will hopefully be worth checking out, otherwise the change in name with minimal improvements or upgrades will not be worth the time and money in purchasing one. Serial leakster @OnLeaks has the nitty gritty on what could very well be the upcoming iPad mini 4.

The leaked photo that you see above points to an alleged soft silicon case, which could very well cover up the iPad mini 4 and provide it with the necessary protection against knocks and drops. Once cases and other kinds of hardware accessories for a particular device starts to hit newswires – be it in the form of rumors or leaked photos, you can be sure that the actual piece of hardware should not be too far behind.

Touted to arrive this fall through an announcement, the Apple iPad mini 4 will allegedly feature an updated, thinner design, a single row of speaker grill openings, a microphone that is located in the same place of the mute switch – which means there will be no mute switch there, more RAM and a better processor, with (fingers crossed) the latest iOS 9 update.
