windows-10-mobile-release

Microsoft has already confirmed that Windows 10 is going to be released for PCs and tablets on July 29th but there’s another version of its new software that many people are looking forward to. The company has not yet confirmed the official Windows 10 Mobile release date but we have plenty of rumors and reports to make do with for the time being. It’s said that the Windows 10 Mobile release has been slated for September this year even though there’s no indication from Microsoft yet regarding the release of the new iteration of Windows for smartphones.

According to a new report Microsoft recently conducted a presentation which included a slide that mentioned that “Windows Mobile SKUs will be available late next quarter.”

Late next quarter means that this should place the release at some point in September, crucially close to the time when Apple is expected to publicly release iOS 9.

If this release timeframe is true, Microsoft would then release Windows 10 Mobile to all existing handsets that support the new software.

It’s around the same time that the company is expected to launch two new high-end Lumia handsets which will be the first smartphones to come with Windows 10 Mobile pre-installed.

So far Microsoft has not commented on the veracity of this report.
