Back in 2012, Ubisoft unveiled ZombiU which is a game designed for the Nintendo Wii U in mind. It was exclusive to Nintendo but according to recent rumors, it seems that Ubisoft could be thinking about reviving ZombiU and bringing it onto non-Nintendo platforms, such as the Sony PlayStation 4 and the Microsoft Xbox One.

The rumor originated from YouTuber Unseen64 (see video above) in which he revealed that he had heard from his sources that the game could be in development for Sony and Microsoft’s newer consoles. However it seems to be quite an extensive port of the game especially when you consider that neither Microsoft nor Sony offers up similar controls and features of the Wii U, meaning that certain elements of the game have to be changed.

No word on when the game will be released or announced, but with E3 2015 coming up next week we suppose it’s not a stretch to think that maybe we will learn more then. Previously Ubisoft revealed that there would not be anymore ZombiU titles due to a lack of profitability. The company also mentioned that they would no longer create exclusives for the Wii U until the console starts becoming more profitable.

However those were sentiments shared a couple of years ago, so there is a good chance that things are a little different now. In any case take it with a grain of salt for now, but like we said E3 is next week so do check back with us then to see if there might be any ZombiU related news then.
