Google entered into the wireless business with Project Fi, that’s what it calls its MVNO or mobile virtual network operator that only provides service to Nexus 6 in the United States. Aside from getting all the advantages that Project Fi has to offer the company is also offering these customers a one-time Nexus 6 replacement for just $100, provided that the previous device suffered accidental damage.

It is imperative for the Nexus 6 to have been purchased during the Project Fi setup otherwise the one-time replacement can’t be claimed, all users have to do to put in their claim is reach out to support over email, chat or call and they’ll send over the new device for just $100.

It also merits mentioning here that Project Fi users are offered one-time replacement within a year of purchase so if it has been more than a year then they won’t be able to get a replacement for their accidentally damaged Nexus 6 for $100.

Nothing beats a free replacement obviously but users aren’t likely to get that unless there’s a manufacturer defect with the device, but still it’s better to get a new unit for just $100 instead of having to pay up to $500 for another Nexus 6 just so Project Fi can be used.
