Sony is commemorating the launch of Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain by launching several new products that carry the title’s branding, this is why the company today launched a Metal Gear Solid-branded Walkman. It’s a rebranded version of the expensive ZX2 Walkman but Sony isn’t charging extra for this particular version, it’s available for about the same price as the normal ZX2, which is close to $1100.

The customized Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain ZX2 Walkman has the game’s title stamped up front and it’s accompanied by a leather case which as the logo of the title’s Outer Heaven mercenary group.

Customers will also find four wallpapers from the game pre-installed on the Walkman as well as copies of HD songs from the title and original packaging.

Those who would like a Phantom Pain-branded product but don’t want to spend more than a thousand dollars do have other options, Sony is selling similarly branded Xperia Z4 and Xperia Z3 Compact smartphones. Phantom Pain-branded editions of the J1 Compact and NW-A16 Walkman are also available for purchase and all of them cost much less than the ZX2.

The items are listed on Sony Japan’s website and it remains to be seen if the company brings them over to other parts of the world as well.
