Translator is a very good tool that Microsoft has been working on, it does precisely what the name suggests, provide translations for words and phrases. The company has already integrated Translator into Skype which allows users to get real-time translations in up to six languages, with support for 40 languages overall. The tool has now been incorporated into Cortana on Windows 10.

This means that Windows 10 users can now simply ask Cortana to provide translations for words, phrases and sentences in nearly 40 languages that are supported by Microsoft Translator.

Users merely need to speak out a command to access this feature, saying “Hey Cortana, how do you say” with the sentence, phrase or word that needs to be translated with the language the user wants to hear it in.

So for example you can say “Hey Cortana, how do you say I need a cup of coffee in Mandarin” and it will provide the relevant result quickly and easily. No need to launch a separate app or open the browser to visit an online translation website. It’s also possible to get translations without having to speak out the command, just type the command in Cortana and it will do the rest.

Microsoft Translator integration with Cortana is only live in the U.S. and Chinese editions of Windows 10 at this point in time but the company will expand it to more version down the line.
