Barnes & Noble today announced the launch of a new Nook tablet, it’s not the company’s own hardware as before rather it’s customizing a tablet from Samsung with its own software. The Galaxy Tab S2 Nook has been launched today, it’s called the “best ever Nook” which features B&N’s reading and entertainment software.

All customers get a special limited time offer to choose three free Nook books and three free Nook Magazines from a selection as well as free lifetime in-store support and a $5 starter credit.

“We’re proud to continue our partnership with an industry leader to offer Barnes & Noble customers the NOOK reading and entertainment content they love on the vibrant display on Samsung’s most powerful tablet yet.,” said Fred Argir, Chief Digital Officer at B&N.

The tablet features a great deal of digital content from B&N including over four million books, extensive collection of comic books and graphic novels, large collection of children’s books and of the top 100 U.S. magazines, as well as services like Nook Video which provides movies and TV shows from major studios.

The Galaxy Tab S2 Nook is an 8 inch tablet from Samsung and it happens to be the thinnest and lightest Nook from Barnes & Noble, it’s now available for purchase in the company’s stores and online through its website for $399.99.
