Many of you might have heard by now that Huawei is believed to be developing a new Nexus handset, it would the first time that Google has worked with this Chinese OEM on a Nexus device. Google is actually expected to launch two Nexus smartphones this year, one from LG and the other from Huawei. It’s believed that the latter’s variant is going to have a 5.5 inch display

There have been many reports previously claiming that Huawei’s Nexus smartphone has a 5.7 inch display but data from import tracker Zauba begs to differ, it shows that the handset might actually have a 5.5 inch display.

Listings that start from July and run through September have been compiled by Zauba and they show that Huawei has shipped a handset codenamed Angler, believed to be its Nexus smartphone, into India for the purpose of research and development.

Details mentioned in the listing reveal that the handset features a 5.5 inch display, 3GB RAM and 32GB of onboard storage with each unit being valued at $645.

The possibility exists that the unit mentioned in these listing could be a prototype and that the final product might be different, but previous listings that have been spotted on Zauba have turned out to be spot on, so it’s also likely Huawei’s Nexus device may have a 5.5 inch display after all.

Rumor has it that Google will conduct a press event on September 29th to unveil the new Nexus handsets from LG and Huawei, Google has not officially confirmed it yet.
