We reported last week that Motorola was gearing up to launch the Moto X Play in India and today the company has gone through with the launch, Moto X Play has finally been launched in India. It’s one of the two new Moto X models that were recently announced by the company, In India it will be sold exclusively through Flipkart with several launch day offers that will be available till September 20th.

Two models of the handset have been launched in the country, one with 16GB of onboard storage and the other with 32GB, the models cost INR 18,449 and INR 19,999 or $275 and $300 respectively.

Launch day offers available through Flipkart include multiple offers from MakeMyTrip, movie vouchers, 100% cashback for 100 random Flipkart Ping users as well as e-gift vouchers worth INR 1,000 from Flipkart.

Moto X Play is a decent mid-range smartphone that’s competitively priced and yet is capable enough for many tasks, it features a 5.5 inch full HD LCD display, an octacore Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor with 2GB RAM, a 21 megapixel rear camera with f2.0 aperture and a 5 megapixel front camera.

The handset also features two tone dual LED flash on the back, Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, dual-SIM support, water repellant coating, LTE, Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and a 3,630mAh battery.
