paper iphoneArtists out there might be familiar with the popular drawing app Paper. The app has been pretty popular amongst artists due to the various brushes and drawing tools that comes with it, making it quite a delight to draw with. Unfortunately for the longest time ever, the app was limited to the iPad, and even with the release of the iPhone 6 Plus, Paper for the iPhone was a no-go.

However last month its developers FiftyThree finally relented and announced that an iPhone version was on its way. The good news is that if you’re an artist who would rather not bring an iPad with them wherever they go, you’re in luck as the app has been officially released. The iPhone version will remain pretty much the same as the iPad version.

This means that images, text notes, lists, and sketches are features you can expect. There is also a whiteboard feature that lets users lay out ideas, swipe to style that lets users create bulleted lists with a single swipe, and also the ability to create diagrams by drawing them, after which the app will be able to convert them into more presentable shapes.

The app is free for download and is available via the iTunes App Store. It should also be noted that the app is a universal app, so your in-app purchases from the iPad version should be able to transfer onto the iPhone version as well.
