The BlackBerry Priv is the Canadian company’s upcoming smartphone, but what makes it so anticipated is the fact that it will be BlackBerry’s first Android smartphone ever. After insisting on using their BB OS platform for their phones, citing security reasons and whatnot, it does seem that they have finally caved.

The phone has yet to be officially launched meaning that a lot of its specs and features are still a mystery, but in the meantime it looks like the company is slowly teasing us with its launch as they have recently uploaded the official BlackBerry Priv video, which you can see for yourself in the video above.

The video doesn’t reveal the handset’s specs, but it does show the phone in operation. It gives us a glimpse at the apps running on the phone, the slideout keyboard, and its design in general which we have to admit actually looks pretty good. So far what we do know from the official teasers is that it will feature a 5.4-inch display with curved displays at the side.

It will also come with BlackBerry’s DTEK security app and a Schneider-Kreuznach certified camera with a 3,410mAh battery. The company is expected to announce the handset before the end of the year, so we guess until then we’ll just have to make do with these teasers.
