LinkedIn-Voyager-Screenshot1Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Google+ all have dedicated mobile apps of their own, covering pretty much most of the major social networks. LinkedIn also has an app of its own, but it looks like the company is working on a newer version of its app codenamed Project Voyager that they have recently taken the wraps off.

The company has recently shown off its latest app which as you can see in the screenshot to the right, looks nothing like the current version of the app. The app has been completely redesigned from the ground up and it looks a lot more user-friendly and welcoming compared to its previous iteration.

Prior to this, the company’s app basically replicated some of the features and function of the desktop version of LinkedIn, but with Project Voyager, LinkedIn will be a lot more intuitive and useful, at least as far as the mobile version is concerned. This is kind of like how Facebook for the web and mobile offer up the same features, but in a different way that is unique to the device that it is installed on.

As it stands, the app is still in beta and is expected to be released in the coming weeks, so for LinkedIn users on the go, this redesigned app is definitely worth checking out.
