Nexus-5X-black-01The Google Nexus 5X smartphone was announced towards the end of last month. Google stated that we can expect the handset to be officially released in the later part of October, but they did not state when exactly that will be. The good news is that you might not have to wait much longer because the date has been revealed to be the 22nd of October.

This is based on the Nexus 5X listing on Google Play in which it now states that it will begin shipping on the 22nd of October. Prior to this, the status of the phone was written as, “shipping in the coming weeks.” However we should point out that the 22nd of October date is only for the black and white versions of the phone.

If you wanted the mint color option, you might have to end up waiting a while, but if you don’t really care either way, then you should be able to get your phone in the coming weeks. Pre-orders of the phone are still open and customers can go ahead and place them now if they wish.

The Nexus 5X is priced at $379 for the 16GB model, and $429 for the 32GB model. Both phones will also come with $50 credit to Google Play if you were to pre-order the device, so head on over to the Google Play Store for the details.
