open_announcement_oneplus2One of the downsides to the OnePlus 2 isn’t so much the phone itself, it’s the ordering process in which customers will need an invite first before being able to purchase one. In a way it’s good as it manages inventory and expectations, but at the same time we reckon it’s frustrating for customers who have to wait.

Now if you’re still eyeing the OnePlus 2 despite the plethora of new phones being released into the market, you’re in luck. Making good on their promise that the company made last month with regards to orders being delayed, OnePlus has officially announced that starting October 12, customers will be able to order the OnePlus 2 for themselves without an invite.

However we should note that this window of opportunity is only open for an hour, so if you snooze, you lose. According to OnePlus, sales are expected to begin in Asia from 12:00-13:00 HKT, Europe from 12:00-13:00 CEST, and North America from 12:00-1:00pm PDT. For our readers from India, your orders will be available via Amazon India starting from 12:00-1:00pm IST.

OnePlus notes that there will be a limit of 2 phones per order, but there is no limit on the number of orders you can place. We expect that there will be a rush to place these orders so don’t be surprised if you end up having to wait a bit for your order to arrive, but we suppose better late than never, right?
