uncarrier-x

T-Mobile has made a habit of making “uncarrier’ announcements, with these initiatives the carrier aims to address some pain points that customers have long had to bear with, it has shaken up the country’s wireless industry quite a bit over the last couple of years and continues going down this road. Magenta today confirmed that it has yet another announcement lined up, mark your calendars for November 10th because that’s when T-Mobile announces Uncarrier X.

There’s a reason why it’s called Uncarrier X, it’s the tenth announcement in this series, which is being made on the tenth day of November. Magenta hasn’t really said what the announcement is about, “We never hit pause” is the only teaser that it has sent out as yet.

Magenta’s teaser makes it seem that the announcement has something to do with music. An earlier announcement brought us Music Freedom, a program that supports some popular music streaming services and allows users to stream as much as they want on cellular data because that usage doesn’t count against their monthly data allotment.

The carrier is also expected to announce some changes to its data rollover policy and perhaps we might hear about that as well next month. T-Mobile is working on a new feature which will allow users to share a single phone number across multiple devices but it’s unlikely that this feature will be ready for unveil in such a short amount of time.
