Many fans have been waiting for Tom Clancy’s The Division and while Ubisoft was due to launch an open beta for this title in December, it recently announced that the open beta had been delayed to early 2016 and that in the meantime a small group of Xbox One owners would be invited to take part in the closed beta. Usually the catch with closed betas is that participants are not allowed to share gameplay footage or screenshots, but that rule is not always obeyed, as evident with the footage from Tom Clancy’s The Division closed alpha that has leaked online.

That’s right, gameplay footage from the closed beta of Tom Clancy’s The Division has been leaked online. It’s available right now on YouTube but it goes without saying that Ubisoft will soon try to get it taken offline. Doesn’t matter though as the footage as already ended up on several mirrors and file sharing sites, so it can’t really be erased from the internet for good.

Ubisoft decided against launching the open beta for this title in December, instead it invited pre-order customers to take part in the closed alpha, as well as some of those who had registered to show interest in taking part in said alpha.

The footage that’s now available online has been captured and leaked by one of those participants, Ubisoft will really not be happy with this, and it remains to be seen if it discovers the person and proceeds with action of any sort. The footage shows that particular version of the game is the most expansive yet as it includes more than the PvP-enabled Dark Zone areas that have already been shown off.

The uploads on YouTube may not be around for very long, but it wouldn’t take long anyway to search for the leaked footage now since it’s quite literally all over the internet.
