rockband-4-ps4-xbox-oneA couple of months ago, Harmonix announced that gamers would be able to import songs from Rock Band 3 to Rock Band 4. Given that there are probably a ton of songs that you’d love to replay from Rock Band 3, it makes sense that such a feature would be given to gamers. Harmonix announced it would arrive by the end of the year and sure enough it has.

According to a recent tweet by the official Rock Band Twitter account, the import feature has been announced. “RB3 export is now available on Xbox One & PlayStation 4 everywhere #RockBand4 is available.” For those of you who own Rock Band 3 and would love to import the songs, Harmonix has posted the instructions on its website.

There will be several steps involved in importing songs and it will differ ever so slightly depending on whether you’re playing on the PlayStation 4 or the Xbox One, but for the most part they are pretty similar. They’re also pretty straightforward so all you’d have to do is follow the instructions and you’ll be good to go.

Do note that the import feature isn’t free. First of all you will be required to own Rock Band 3, and you will also need to purchase the export pack which last we check will cost you $15, but if you have all of that then you’re all set!
