The Sand Racer from Zarooq Motors is certainly a menacing looking piece of machinery – but it has its strong point in being able to make its way around on desert sand as well, in addition to regular asphalt, with a strong performance on either surface – now how about that when it comes to flexibility?

Zarooq director Mohammed Al Qadi shared, “The UAE are famous for amazing deserts, extreme safari motorsport and dune racing, but the performance of US and Japanese cars just wasn’t good enough. So we decided to assemble a team to design and build the car we have all dreamed about, specifically made to race in the desert.”

The Sand Racer will sport a 304-bhp (227 kW) 3.5-liter V6 engine that will be mated to a six-speed automatic gearbox with paddle shifters, resulting in 274 lb-ft (371 Nm) of torque. Expect to see a full public reveal happen sometime early next year.
