Time Warner Cable customers didn’t have a particularly relaxing Sunday if they tried using some of the services that this company offers because it was having trouble dealing with a national outage. There were issues with its national network which led to Time Warner’s TV and internet service being knocked offline across the country. Imagine having to spend a Sunday without TV or internet, oh the horror!

According to reports customers began noticing service loss at about 5:30 pm, with many complaining that calls to the company’s service numbers either got busy signals or just weren’t answered. That tends to aggravate customers more when they can’t get someone on the phone to explain to them what it is that’s keeping the service offline and how long it will take for everything to be back up and running again.

Time Warner did confirm over Twitter that its technicians were working to resolve an issue that was causing service problems, but in its update the company didn’t provide any estimated time of restoration. By 8 pm the company tweeted that Customers in the “Carolina’s” should have TV back up and working again shortly while apologizing for the internet outage which was to continue for several more hours.

It was later reported that service issues were being experienced by customers from Charlotte to Los Angeles with more than 16,000 reports of problems coming in, Time Warner did take a few hours to get everything sorted and get both the TV and internet back online.
