Samsung-Galaxy-S6-Edge-Plus-15We have heard various specs of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S7, like its screen size, resolution, camera, chipset, and etc., but in terms of battery size there has not been much word about it. However we suppose this isn’t really that much of a surprise since battery life these days is more or less standard.

However a recent tweet from Eldar Murtazin has suggested that with the Galaxy S7, things could change in a pretty big way. According to a translated version of his tweet, it reads, “Galaxy s7 playing a video 17+ hours with maximum backlight. The record for this class of devices.”

Yup, apparently the Galaxy S7 is capable of playing video for 17 hours or more with brightness set at max. No doubt that this is a pretty long time, but unfortunately it doesn’t really tell us exactly how big the battery size is. According to SamMobile, their review of the Galaxy S6 Active with its 3,500mAh battery managed to get 10-11 hours of video playback, so we can only imagine how big the Galaxy S7’s battery must be.

Of course this is just a rumor, but Murtazin has been pretty spot on with his claims in the past, so it is possible that he could be right about this, but still do take it with a grain of salt and hopefully more will be revealed next month at MWC 2016.
