LG-V10-03The LG V10 was launched last year and seemed to represent a new direction in terms of design and features that LG could be exploring. That being said, the handset was not launched with the latest version of Android which begs the question, will it be updated to Android 6.0 Marshmallow at some point in time?

While we can’t speak for the global version of the phone, the good news is that if you bought the phone under T-Mobile, it looks like the phone will be updated to the latest version of Android. This was initially spotted by @PhonesReviewer (via TmoNews) in which the list of handsets that T-Mobile plans on updating now includes the LG V10.

Unfortunately it is really anyone’s guess as to when the phone will receive its update, but according to T-Mobile’s website, the phone is listed as under “Manufacturer Development”, which apparently means that, ”T-Mobile and the device manufacturer have agreed to support a new software update.”

After this it should enter the testing phase before it is eventually rolled out to customers. Like we said, its release is really anyone’s guess so until we get a more concrete date from T-Mobile/LG, we’ll just have to play the waiting game, although we guess this is still pretty good news all the same.
