Last year, Capcom registered a trademark for a game called Umbrella Corps. It was later revealed that the game is a third-person shooter based on the Resident Evil franchise, except that it would be a competitive third-person shooter that you could online against other players in various modes.

No doubt this is an intriguing idea and concept, so the question is, when will the game be available? Turns out that Capcom has since announced that Umbrella Corps will be seeing a release this coming May. The game will cost $29.99 and it will only be available on the PlayStation 4 and the PC, so it looks like Xbox One gamers will be out of luck.

The game will support up to 6 players at once, although there is mention of a single-player element, which is really about players honing their skills rather than playing through a story like in other Resident Evil games. Umbrella Corps will be unique in the sense that not only will players have to face each other, but the maps also come with events that will pit players against other players and zombies.

In the meantime while you eagerly anticipate the game, the second trailer for Umbrella Corps has since been released and you can watch it in the video above.
