There’s no shortage of products that you can purchase on Amazon. The online retailer has been branching out to provide other services as well, in some markets it will deliver your groceries to you, and in others, it will bring you cooked food from participating restaurants. Amazon has announced today that restaurant delivery is available to Prime Now customers based in San Diego.

Prime Now customers in San Diego can now get food delivery from local restaurants such as Carnitas’ Snack Shack, Dumpling Inn, Rubicon Deli, T Deli, Tajima, Tandoori Hut and many more.

Customers can browse menus and place their orders using the Prime Now app. The app also lets them view participating restaurants, track the status of their delivery and even watch as the driver travels from the restaurant to the delivery address in real time.

Amazon doesn’t have anything to do with the food, it merely facilitates the ordering process, and once the order is placed its delivery drivers pick up and deliver the food within an hour or less. Average delivery time is about 39 minutes according to the company.

Restaurant delivery via Amazon Prime Now is available starting today in 16 zip codes in San Diego. Customers can check the app to see if the service is available in their area. Delivery on all orders is free for a limited time. Customers make payment using the card that they have on file with Amazon.
