Dark Souls has a very robust fan following and they most certainly can’t wait for the next title to arrive. Fans have been made to wait for a very long time so they will be anxious to get their hands on Dark Soul 3. It turns out that there’s an advantage to purchasing the upcoming title digitally. Those who purchase it from the Xbox Store will get a copy of Dark Souls, a game that wasn’t originally released for Xbox One, but works on the console now thanks to backwards compatibility.

Namco hasn’t really confirmed this year but the Australian Xbox Store has let this bonus slip. Other game franchises have offered similar bonuses in the past and this one happens to be available for a limited time only. Once gamers purchase Dark Souls 3 online they will get the original Dark Souls via a code within ten days of their purchase.

This also comes as good news for those who already own Dark Souls on Xbox 360. It means that they will be able to play the title on Xbox One even if they decide against buying Dark Souls 3. Ofcouse, they’ll need to have an Xbox One for that.

Dark Souls 3 is going to be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on April 12th, 2016.
