galaxy s7 wirelessEver since a few generations ago, Samsung introduced wireless charging to its smartphones, making it fuss-free for its users to charge their devices without having to fumble around for cables and whatnot. While we haven’t heard rumors of wireless charging for the Samsung Galaxy S7, you might be pleased to learn that it looks like it will be sticking around.

This is thanks to a recent listing on online retailer Clove’s website, in which a wireless charger for the Samsung Galaxy S7 was spotted. However we should note that the wireless charger listed seems to be the same design as the one for last year’s model. It is possible that Samsung has not bothered to change the design, which we guess is fair since design is probably not the biggest priority for such devices.

An alternative would be that there will be a new design, but Clove is simply using the old design as a placeholder until official images are released. A third possibility could be that Clove is simply speculating that wireless charging could be one of the Galaxy S7’s new features. However like we said, wireless charging has been a feature in previous Galaxy phones, so it would make sense for Samsung to want to continue that tradition.

In any case Samsung will be officially announcing the handset on the 21st of February at MWC 2016, so do check back with us then for all the official details.
