street-fighter-5-rashid-1As it stands, Capcom’s Street Fighter V is available on both the PC and the PS4. However the good news for gamers who prefer playing the living room is that it will also be available on SteamOS, although according to a recent posting by Capcom, it looks like they are still working on bringing the game to the platform.

According to the post on Steam, “Attention Steam users and Street Fighter V players! Our development team is working closely with Valve engineers to bring the full Street Fighter V experience onto the SteamOS platform. This will be a free update to all Street Fighter V Steam players and will be released this Spring. More news will be shared soon, so stay tuned.”

For those unfamiliar, SteamOS is a platform designed by Valve for use on Steam Machines, which are basically computer gaming systems for the living room that lets players game Steam games via specially designed controllers. Users will be able to stream their Steam games as well, so if you’d rather have a more social setting like the living room, that could be the answer.

In the meantime Street Fighter V is expected to be released in North America on the 16th of February, which is tomorrow. Gamers who have pre-purchased the game on the PS4 or PC are able to preload it right now, saving yourself some time tomorrow.
