Twitter has been working very heard to improve the user experience and jolt user growth. Analysts are predicting doom and gloom for the company while its stock price has been hammered over the past few months. It’s not giving up, though, trying to stay relevant with changes to the experience, and one such change has been announced today. GIF search has now arrived on Twitter.

Twitter is making it easier to share GIFs in tweets and direct messages with this new feature. Whenever you’re composing a tweet or a DM simply search and browse the GIF library to find one that you want to use with that message. It’s possible to search the GIF library by keyboard or browse different categories of reactions like Mic Drop, Happy Dance and even YOLO.

GIF search is rolling out starting today and will gradually go live for all users across the globe on iOS, Android and Twitter.com in the coming weeks. To provide this feature, Twitter has partnered with GIPHY and Riffsy so you’re most likely going to find all of the GIFs that you already know and love.

This move is likely to increase user engagement on Twitter but to some this might be too little, too late given the fact that there’s a big chance of the novelty wearing off for most users after they’ve used GIF search for a few times.
