The BlackBerry PRIV is certainly one beautiful handset when it was first introduced last year, and to make it all the more memorable, it proved to be the first mainstream device from BlackBerry that did not run on the company’s very own BlackBerry OS, but rather, relied on the Android mobile operating system from Google. It was somewhat akin to a Mac that ran Microsoft’s Office suite all those years ago.

Well, it seems that the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update which was said to arrive some time in the first quarter this year for the BlackBerry PRIV will make its way to the masses really soon, especially since a video of such a BlackBerry PRIV with the latest version of Android was seen.

As to the exact date or time as to when that will happen, only the folks at BlackBerry will be able to tell. Whatever the outcome is, patience would always reveal the results at the end of it all. Of course, a video of the BlackBerry PRIV with Android 6.0 Marshmallow on board is also no guarantee that it will eventually appear in the flesh, but it does spring up that wee bit of hope in the hearts of PRIV owners out there, don’t you think so?
