Square Enix has confirmed today that the final DLC for Rise of the Tomb Raider will have Lara Croft fighting zombies. It’s called Cold Darkness Awakened and it will be launched next week. The final DLC for Rise of the Tomb Raider will be released on the same day for Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC. PlayStation owners are out of luck because the title hasn’t even been launched on their preferred platform yet.

Square Enix has not confirmed how much Cold Darkness Awakened is going to cost on its own but it will be available as a free download for those who already own the season pass.

Cold Darkness Awakened brings a new wave-based combat mode to Rise of the Tomb Raider and puts Croft against infected enemies. A new trailer has been released today which provides us with a glimpse of what to expect from the DLC but details are scarce for now.

Square Enix confirmed today that Cold Darkness Awakened will be released on March 29th. It’s likely going to provide more details about the DLC as well as its standalone price closer to release.

Rise of the Tomb Raider was released for Xbox One and Xbox 360 in November last year and it arrived on PC this January. Microsoft has confirmed that the game sold more than one million copies on the Xbox One. Rise of the Tomb Raider will eventually arrive on the PlayStation 4 as well, that’s expected to happen later this year in the fall.
