halo_reachAs it stands, Halo 5 is currently an exclusive to the Xbox platform, which isn’t surprising as the Halo franchise has typically been designed for the Xbox, save for a few titles which also made its way onto the PC. Now the good news is that if you’re looking to play Halo on your PC, the next Halo title might be worth checking out.

During a recent interview with Gameblog.fr (via Segment Next), Microsoft’s Aaron Greenberg revealed some details about the next Halo title, one of which seemed to suggest that the next Halo game might not necessarily be exclusive to the Xbox platform and that it might actually be launched for the PC as well.

According to Greenberg (based on Google translate), “We do not go back and do not take all these games (already out). But in the future, I would say that our vision is to offer our new games to the largest number of players possible.” Greenberg also goes on to point out that they have started bringing other titles formerly exclusive to the Xbox One onto the PC.

For instance Microsoft recently confirmed that Forza Motorsport will be making its way onto Windows 10 PCs, so the idea that the next Halo title could be developed for PC as well doesn’t really seem like a stretch. Unfortunately for gamers, Greenberg also stated that Microsoft has no plans to bring Halo 5 onto the PC, so if you do want Halo on the PC, you’re going to have to wait.
