Acer today announced another Chromebook. It has already made quite a few of these notebooks powered by Google’s cloud OS and it has come out with a new one today. The company claims that the one it has just announced is the “fastest Chromebook,” it also happens to be the first model from Acer that’s compliant with the Chrome for Work program.

Acer calls it the Chromebook 14 for Work. It’s powered by an Intel Core i processor and it features a rugged design complete with military spec compliance and even a spill-resistant keyboard. Acer isn’t kidding when it says that you can take this to work with you.

This is also the first notebook that comes with Corning’s new Vibrant Gorilla Glass which provides a durable glass finish that can also be customized.  It comes after Acer’s Chromebook 14 which was announced earlier this year, it wasn’t the fastest Chromebook ever as it featured a Celeron processor.

That’s all well and good, but the company left out the crucial information from today’s announcement. It hasn’t confirmed how much the Chromebook 14 for Work is going to cost and when it’s going to be released, two of the things that potential customers will be most interested in finding out. Hopefully, it will have that information for us in the near future.
