At IFA in Berlin, Acer announced the fourth-generation Acer Vero 16 (V16-I71 / V16-I71T), a sustainable Copilot+ PC engineered around modularity, circular design, and AI-accelerated computing.

Expanding its environmental strategy from a 3R framework to 4R by prioritizing repairability, Acer designed the laptop to reduce electronic waste and extend hardware lifespans. The chassis includes a tool-free bottom latch for quick internal access, allowing users to directly replace the battery and PCIe Gen 4 SSD. Additional service-friendly features include removable I/O port covers, a detachable external hinge, an engraved visual repair guide, and planned motherboard support for processor upgrades across at least two generations.

Constructed for structural durability with MIL-STD-810H certification, the chassis uses 50% post-industrial recycled aluminum and 50% low-carbon aluminum on the lid and palm rest, paired with a wear-resistant, solvent-free powder finish. The bottom housing contains 60% post-consumer recycled plastic, while display bezels utilize 30% PCR plastic. The entire unit ships in 100% recyclable packaging.

The Acer Vero 16 delivers robust processing capabilities driven by up to an Intel Core Ultra X9 processor 388H, delivering up to 180 platform TOPS for on-device AI tasks alongside optional Intel Arc B390 graphics. System memory reaches up to 32 GB LPDDR5X, paired with up to 512 GB SSD storage

  • Display: Up to a 16-inch 3K OLED WQXGA+ (2880 x 1800) panel with a 120 Hz refresh rate, 16:10 aspect ratio, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, and 500 nits peak HDR brightness.
  • Battery & Power: A 71 Wh battery supporting fast-charging technology.
  • Connectivity: Dual Thunderbolt 4 ports, two USB Type-A ports, an HDMI 2.1 port, a full-size SD card reader, Intel Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.6
  • Security & Audio: A 5 MP IR camera with a physical privacy shutter and Windows Hello support, accompanied by dual anti-vibration speakers and DTS Virtual:X audio.

The Acer Vero 16 will be available across the EMEA region in Q1 2027.
