gmail_android_exchangeGmail is Google’s email service and while we’re sure Google would love everyone in the world to just use Gmail, there are plenty of users out there using alternatives, such as Yahoo, Outlook, Exchange, and so on. Now a couple of years ago Google added support for Yahoo and Outlook, and the good news is that support for Exchange is now here.

This was announced on Twitter by the official Gmail Twitter account in which through an update to the Gmail app, users will now be able to add their Exchange accounts. However we should point out that this is only applicable to those with Android devices, meaning that iOS users with the Gmail app will have to wait.

According to the tweet, “All your mail in one place. An update to the Android Gmail app is now rolling out with support for Exchange accounts.” We should also note that this is for the Gmail app, not the Inbox app, so for those who are now using Inbox instead of Gmail, you guys will also have to wait for Exchange support (if it ever comes, but chances are it will).

In the meantime Android users who have yet to update their Gmail app will be able to do so by heading on over to the Google Play Store for the download.
