htc-vive-03While some lucky customers have managed to get their hands on the Oculus Rift, there were some who were unlucky enough to have their shipping delayed. Oculus has since apologized and waived the shipping fees as a token of their apology, and now it looks like HTC has also hit a snag with its HTC Vive pre-orders.

The HTC Vive is expected to be launched on the 5th of April, tomorrow, but according to various user reports (via VG247), it seems that HTC has accidentally cancelled many pre-orders of the HTC Vive. This means that if you pre-ordered the headset, you should probably check your email to see if you were one of the unlucky ones to have their orders cancelled.

It is unclear as to why pre-orders were cancelled, but unfortunately what’s done is done and there’s really nothing one can do about it. So far according to users, what HTC has offered is a spot in the second wave of units, meaning that if you were hoping to get it this coming week you will be disappointed.

It is also unfortunate that HTC did not share when the second wave of units will begin shipping out, so how long you wait remains to be seen. Many users are also complaining that getting their payment processed is more difficult than they would like, and that in some cases HTC reps had to remotely access customers’ computers to help them make payments.
