Do you like watching six-second videos on Vine? If you do, there’s another app now that you can use to watch those clips. Vine released its first ever desktop app today for Windows 10. It allows users to create and share vines from any video saved on their Windows 10-powered PC or tablet. The app brings a decent set of features that are also available on the iOS and Android counterparts of this app.
Vine for Windows 10 supports native notifications and updates will be displayed on Vine’s Start menu live tile. It also allows users to pin individual Vine channels or accounts to the Start menu if they prefer getting the latest updates from selected accounts.
It does differ from the mobile apps in the way that it doesn’t play the videos in loops like the mobile apps do, it defaults to playing videos back to back. If users want to watch a single six-second clip over and over again they can hover their mouse over it or tap on the video if they have a touchscreen PC.
This isn’t the first app that Vine has created for Microsoft’s platform. An app for Windows Phone came out in 2013 but this is the first ever desktop app that Vine has come out with. For those who don’t like the app, there’s always the option to catch up on all of their favorite Vine stars using the web app.
