flatbookBack in the day when Facebook was first launched, things were simple as there weren’t too many features, but over time as Facebook grew to become to the social media juggernaut that we know today, it is being packed with features that not all of us use. The good news is that there’s now a way to clean it up via a Chrome extension.

Dubbed Flatbook, this is a Chrome extension that will clean up Facebook for. What do we mean by clean up? As you can see in the screenshot above, it more or less gives Facebook a makeover. It gives it a flatter design and according to its description, will also be able to block ads so if you’re not a fan of Facebook’s ads, then should do the trick.

It also removes things like “Your Games” and “Recommended Games” from the sidebar, so if you want a cleaner and potentially faster Facebook experience, this extension could be worth checking out. The extension is free, naturally, and will be available via the Chrome Web Store which needless to say is only applicable to Google’s Chrome browser.

Now you might need some time to get used to the new look, but we have to say that Facebook does feel a lot faster and cleaner with it on. You could always opt to turn it off if you think that it isn’t working out for you.
