fb_messenger_direct_replyWe all receive notifications when we get a new message, but sometimes we’re in the middle of using an app and swapping out to another app could interrupt our workflow. This is why thankfully there are some apps that build in quick reply features, where you can reply from the notification directly.

The good news for Facebook Messenger users is that you can soon do the same. As spotted by Android Police in the latest beta of Messenger, it seems that the app will soon be integrating a quick reply feature where users can reply directly from the notifications itself as opposed to having to launch the entire app.

Of course if you receive messages from too many users then some might get lost in the list, but if you only get one or two messages then this should be a pretty quick and convenient feature to look forward to. As it stands, the iOS version of the app already supports a quick reply feature so we guess it’s about time it made its way to Android.

In the meantime like we said, this appears to be a feature of the beta which means that unless you’re testing the beta right now, you won’t see it until it’s main release which could be anytime in the coming days, weeks, or months.
