Microsoft Announces That They Will Be Hosting A WWDC Afterparty

microsoft wwdc after partyApple’s WWDC 2016 will be taking place next week on the 13th of June. However it seems that Microsoft wants to piggyback on the WWDC hype because the Redmond company has announced that they will be hosting a WWDC afterparty in which interestingly enough, Microsoft will be talking about iOS.

According to the party’s description, “Come and join Xamarin and Microsoft after the WWDC 2016 State of the Union. We’ll be providing food and drinks and chatting about iOS.” Before you run off thinking that this is some kind of anti-iOS event, it’s actually anything but. Microsoft will talking about its range of apps available on the iOS platform.

The company has in the past released numerous iOS apps, like its suite of Office apps, and how could we forget the likes of Skype and Bing as well. The event will be taking place on the 13th of June from 5pm to 8:30pm PDT which is basically after Apple’s own event (hence the afterparty). It will be held at Twitter’s headquarters which is only a block away from the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium where WWDC will be taking place.

It will be interesting to see what kind of things Microsoft will share or talk about at the afterparty, so we’ll definitely be keeping an eye on the event as well.
