For Final Fantasy fans, you might have heard that a new Kingsglaive movie for Final Fantasy XV is being made and will be released soon. In fact just last month we caught a glimpse of the movie in a trailer, and now it looks like for fans of the franchise who just can’t wait to see it, a new trailer has been released.

According to the movie’s director Takeshi Nozue who posted on the PlayStation Blog, he claims that this is a movie that can be enjoyed by non-Final Fantasy fans. “Kingsglaive stands on its own and can be enjoyed without knowledge of the previous games. But if you play Final Fantasy XV there are many references in the game that you wouldn’t necessarily understand without watching the film. Kingsglaive depicts the events that lead into the game’s story, starting with the main character — Prince Noctis’ father, King Regis — fighting the enemy Empire.”

Nozue also confirms that the movie will be released in North America where it will be available for watching in theaters starting on the 19th of August, which is less than a month away. Now Kingsglaive isn’t the first Final Fantasy movie we’ve seen. Previously there was also Advent Children that was based around Final Fantasy VII.

So far the trailer sounds very promising and its graphics are amazing, so here’s hoping the actual film will live up to the hype.
