A Florida man opened fire at two teenage Pokemon Go players early on Saturday morning as he believed that they were burglars looking for a house to rob. Fortunately, no one was hurt in this incident but it just goes to show how this popular game is bringing some people close to disaster. This is certainly not the only crazy story we’ve heard of Pokemon Go players being involved in and it most certainly won’t be the last.

The 37-year old shooter was spooked by the presence of a strange car in the neighborhood and seeing two teenagers out and about on his street at 1:30 am in the night. He thought they were burglars one of the teens said to the other “Did you get anything.”

Little did he know they were talking catching Pokemon and not about robbing a house. The man stepped in front of their car, took out his weapon and ordered them to not move. The teens got spooked and sped off in the car, only to have the man fire at it as he believed the teens had tried to strike him down with the car.

The teens only told their mother about the incident after she noticed a flat tire and bullet holes on the car. No one was injured, but the teens would likely have learned a valuable lesson, it’s best not to come off as suspicious in the middle of the night even if you’re out to catch virtual monsters.
