Last week we reported that it was confirmed that a new CG film for Resident Evil would be launched. Dubbed Resident Evil: Vendetta, fans who are curious about what the film could look like will be pleased to learn that the teaser trailer for the upcoming film has been released and we have to say that it looks pretty good.

From what we can tell of the footage, it seems more like we’re watching in-game footage that has been turned into a movie, but that’s not necessarily a criticism because like we said, in this case the graphics are actually pretty decent so it is actually rather watchable. As we had mentioned previously, the film will feature an original storyline, but at the same time it will come with characters that players of the franchise are acquainted with, such as Chris Redfield, Rebecca Chambers, and Leon Kennedy.

The movie is also set for a release in Japan come spring 2017, and while there is no voice acting in the teaser, we can only assume that a Japanese release means that it will also be voice acted in Japanese. We’re not sure if there are plans for localized versions, or maybe subbed versions, but here’s hoping that there will! In the meantime if you have a few minutes to spare, you can check out the movie’s teaser trailer above.
