When it comes to gaming on the Mac, developers are less keen to show love for the platform compared to Windows, and it’s easy to see why since the number of users on Windows-based PCs are considerably more than those on Mac. However this isn’t to say that the Mac platform is devoid of games, and recently the good news is that the recently released Civilization VI is now available for the Mac.

The PC version of Civilization VI was released on the PC a few days ago, and it seems that Mac gamers did not have to wait weeks, months, or even years before the Mac version was made available to them. According to the hardware specs required, gamers will require an Intel Core i5 clocked at 2.7GHz with 6GB of RAM, 15GB of storage space, and at least a Radeon HD 6790, NVIDIA GeForce 775M, or an Intel Iris Pro with 1GB VRAM as far as the GPU is concerned.

The game will also be available for purchase and download via Steam for $60 for the standard version, or if you’re a fan of the series and wouldn’t mind shelling out a bit more, a Digital Deluxe version can be had for $80. The game’s developer Aspyr has stated that they do have plans to eventually bring it onto the Mac App Store soon. In the meantime you can check out the game’s launch trailer in the video above.
