Lenovo announced its Project Tango smartphone a few months ago, called the Phab2 Pro, it was supposed to be released in the summer this year but it was delayed. The company said that it would release this handset at some point in the fall this year and today it appears to have quietly revealed when the Phab2 Pro is going to be released. Lenovo Phab2 Pro Project Tango smartphone might be released on November 1st.

The product page for the Phab2 Pro doesn’t actually mention the release date, it’s actually mentioned on the page for the cheaper Phab2 handset that’s not a Project Tango smartphone. A small alert box on that page mentions that the Phab2 Pro is going to be released on November 1st.

As far as the price is concerned, back when the device was announced it was said that the Phab2 Pro would cost $499 in the United States unlocked and off-contract. There’s nothing to show that the price is being increased. Given that the mentioned release date is less than a week away you would expect that pre-orders for this device would have been opened up by now but that doesn’t appear to be the case.

This is why it’s possible that this date might have been mentioned in error so unless Lenovo officially confirms it, take it with a grain of salt for now.
