T-Mobile recently launched a new device made by Alcatel in the United States and it happens to be powered by Windows 10. This device – the Alcatel Idol 4S – was actually launched earlier this year with Android. The Windows 10-powered version appears to be limited to T-Mobile at this point in time, and the manufacturer itself has confirmed that this particular handset is not going to be released across Europe.

T-Mobile is going to start selling the Alcatel Idol 4S with Windows 10 starting November 10th. It comes bundled with a low-cost VR headset that enables Windows 10 users to get in on the VR action as well.

A French website by the name of theWindose.fr reached out to Alcatel France on Twitter to inquire if this handset will be released in Europe. The reply from Alcatel’s official Twitter account was that “this model is not intended for Europe.” This should clear any lingering doubts that people might have about this handset ever making it outside of the U.S.

From the looks of it, this handset is a collaboration between Microsoft, T-Mobile, and Alcatel which is why it’s quite possible that it may remain exclusive to T-Mobile in the United States. So far there has been no indication of the Idol 4S being launched by any other carrier in the country.
